Calling multi families to join us for a casual, evening catch up at The Suburban Brew Goodwood. Children welcome and there is a kids' corner for them to have a play in - or leave them at home for some adult conversation! Starting at 7pm, there will be a "Survey Says" quiz - which is a fun game akin to Family Feud so no need to brush up on recent sporting events or news. (Which is great news for us time poor parents and carers of twins, triplets or more!) We will have a table booked under MBSA. Drinks at your own expense and if you want to have dinner there's Reggie's Detroit Style Pizza serving their delicious pizza squares. Join us for a multiple birth specific information session about Starting School, followed by our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 7:30pm. Our panel of teachers and multiple birth parents will discuss a variety of school preparation topics, including the pros and cons of whether to separate or keep your multiples together. There will be a chance to ask questions too of course. At 7:30pm our (very brief) AGM will commence where we review the year that has been and welcome some new volunteers that make this multi community run. 2023 marks 50 years of MBSA in all its forms. To mark this momentous milestone we are hosting a little get together in the South Parklands and we'd love you to come. There will be cake, free coffee from 10am - 11am, soft play for the little ones and the Glover playground for the bigger kids to run amok. This is where our original plaque commemorating 25 years of MBSA was laid, and we will be updating it to reflect our new milestone. Roll up, roll up!  MBSA invites you to a night at the movies - featuring "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny". Join us for a bit of fun served with a pizza dinner, all the while helping us to raise money for MBSA to host more fabulous events. MBSA is a welcoming, inclusive community that celebrates with families the joy of a multiple birth, and understands the unique challenges experienced by those in a multiple birth family. We provide these families with practical support and a network of connections across South Australia to empower them to thrive. Ticket price includes pizza and entry to the movie, and is open to both members and non-members. The bar will also be open and 15% of bar sales will go to MBSA. We will have a raffle on the night. Join us as we re-launch our MBSA social evenings - the MBSA Multi-Meets. These casual events are aimed to build connection between parents and caregivers of multiples, allowing us a child free space to share our experience, make new friends and strengthen existing bonds. Committee members will be in attendance and are always keen for a chat, we've all got a lot of stories and are happy to share :)  The first Multi-Meet for 2023 will be held at The Kitchen Window, in The Mile End Hotel from 7.30pm Friday 12th of May. Partners are encouraged (so book a babysitter if you can!) and friends are welcome, however non-member tickets are charged at $10 per person. All food and drinks are to be purchased at your expense. We can't wait to see you there!

Notice is hereby given to all life, financial and associate members that the Multiple Birth SA Inc 2022 Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday April 4 2022 commencing at 7:30pm at The Cumby Hotel, 205 Waymouth Street, Adelaide. We'd love you to join us for our AGM to celebrate our 50th year  and enjoy some free food (including cake!) & drinks! --------------------------- Every year, all of our committee positions become vacant at the AGM and amazing people from our membership step up and take on a role. These people are special in that they usually have families and full lives already but they understand our aims as an organisation and they want to help realise our goals of creating supportive connections and helping families in our local region. They step up because they know how valuable those supportive connections are and they want to offer that to new families and to continue fostering those connections for our current members. Another Multiple Birth Awareness Week is nearly upon us and to celebrate we are holding our annual members picnic. Pack some yummy treats and the kids and head down to MJ Mcinerney Reserve for a chance to hang out with other multiple families under the shade of the beautiful gum trees. There will be an Easter Egg hunt for the kids and an Egg and Spoon race for anyone keen to have a laugh. Plus free coffee and hot drinks between 10am - 12pm* (so don't forget your keep cup!), facepainting, soft play for the littles and a MASSIVE playground which is sure to keep all the kids entertained for hours.  Tickets are limited to make sure to grab yours NOW! Remember you must purchase a separate ticket for all picnic attendee's including babies :)  Please note there is street parking only and the reserve is best accessed from Sackville St or Mundulla St. It is also right near Kilkenny train station for anyone keen to take public transport! *limited amount available
